Zoological parks

Zoological parks are often misunderstood to be amusement parks and are used for recreational purposes. On a large scale, our society lacks awareness about the reasons behind the creation and existence of zoo parks. As a case-in-point, our very own Nehru Zoo Park suffers extreme amounts of vandalism, teasing of animals and misuse of resources.
Moreover, there is also much room for development in the standards of our Zoo Park, to which end the Zoo Authorities are putting in their best efforts.
Starting with an introduction about Zoological Parks in Germany, Mallikarjuna Rao – IFS (Director of AP Zoological Parks, Hyderabad) will after this address issues including the measures required for the well-being of our Zoo, focus on Landscape Immersion for Modern Zoo modification, Importance of zoo for conservation of Endangered Wildlife, the animal diversity at the Zoo, and the role that the ARPF (Animal Rehabilitation and Protection Front) community plays to maintain the zoo.
