Two local bands will be battling it out on April 3 for a chance to advance to the national level of the competition being held by Hard Rock Cafe.
Hard Rock Rising is a global competition which kicked off on March 27.Tonight, April 3, is the last night for bands to perform before the finals. Four other bands have already performed. They are the Lost-Boez, Vicky Pharose, the Upper Basement and Fear Vortex.
Tonight, Zepp-Era and RoOtZ will compete. Zepp-Era is a band inspired by the classic American rock band, Led Zeppelin. While RoOtZ says they are inspired by famous composer, A. R. Rahman.
Two finalists will then compete on April 10 to see who gets to represent Hyderabad against winners from other cities. If they advance past this level of competition they will compete against winners from cities globally. The grand prize is a chance to perform at a live music festival hosted by Hard Rock in Italy. Runner-ups will get $10,000 worth of band gear.
The winner will be determined by judges tonight. The event starts at 9 p.m. and will last until 11:30 p.m.
