Hyderabad Western Music Foundation, Alliance Française and Goethe-Zentrum are organising the second season of the Hyderabad Youth Ensemble, which will be conducted by Jonathan Hewitt (music coordinator/teacher at International School of Hyderabad).

The ensemble is made up of young musicians from around the tri cities who play string, wind or percussion instruments and aims to give an opportunity to play in a larger ensemble than they may usually have the chance to. This second season will consist of rehearsals on a Saturday afternoon from 2.30-4.30pm at Alliance Française, Srinagar Colony, Road No 3 Banjara Hills.

There is a possibility of another performance on June 21st (World Music Day). People aged 10 to 30 years who play string, wind or brass instruments and play at the standard of approximately grade 2 Trinity College/ABRSM/LCM etc. or above are invited to take part. Fluent notation reading is essential. To participate, attendance at a minimum of 4 out of the 5 weeks will be essential. (Free) registrations for this season of the Hyderabad Youth Ensemble will be required by Friday 25th April. Music will be sent out several weeks before the first rehearsal for familiarization.

Please contact Jonathan Hewitt at or 9912201659 to register for the event or for more information.
