The fashion sense and fashion awareness levels of the students are very good. I have been visiting INIFD centres across India despite of my busy schedule and as a Mentor to the students, I am teaching the ‘Art of Designing’ to them. At INIFD Hyderabad, I am impressed with the immense talent the students have.”

After the resounding success of Ashley’s designs in Jai Ho, Dabangg 2, Ek Tha Tiger, Bodyguard, Ready, Dabangg & Bigg Boss – Season 7, Ek Mein Aur Ekk Tu, and many more hit films, he has been the most sought after costume designer. Bollywood fashion designer and stylist Ashley Rebello who is also tagged as India’s finest costume designer, is Salman Khan’s personal favorite designer too. Commenting on the Tollywood industry, Ashley says that he has a close association with Tollywood. He has worked with stars such as Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, Tamannah, etc. and appreciated the quality of work in the Telugu film industry. The Designer Workshop of Ashley Rebello was a great learning experience for the INIFD students, which provided them with direct hands on experience of being a star designer. The design workshop also created awareness about the upcoming fashion trends.

Concurrently Interior Design students of INIFD today showcased Water Cascades made by them with different themes like likes Go Green, Nature, Shiv Ling, Hill Water Fall, Collaz, Colour Pebble etc. The works were much appreciated by Ashley and also their fellow students. The water cascades made beautifully with colourful stones, etc. were decked up with bright lights.

These works are the outcome of the students who had done a special workshop by Mr. Ajit Verma, a master in fine arts (sculpture) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi who has done many projects like the Telugu Talli flyover opposite to secretariat in Hyderabad (murals); murals along the Marina Beach, Chennai; cascade on Tank Bund, YSR memorial Atmakur, and also some of the government parks like Sanjeevaiah Park, NTR Gardens and Lotus Pond, etc. The experience gained by the students in making these water cascades will help them in their careers and will aid them in designing such water cascades on a larger scale, says Ajit Verma.
